FAQs

How often are sessions?
A 50 minute therapy session…
A 50-minute therapy session covers much ground; there is time, at the end, to explore
what has been covered in the session and goal setting for future sessions.
How do I know if therapy is the right thing for me?
It is important to decide to enter therapy for yourself. An initial consultation will help identify the type to clarify your therapy goals. Within the initial sessions, we will be getting to know each other to establish rapport. During therapy, you will have the time and space to explore and review the experience of working with me and deciding whether you want to continue.
Fees & Cancellations
I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. You will be charged the full fee if the cancellation is at short notice. I accept payments in Cash, Bank Transfer or payment via the website.
How long will the therapy last?
It varies. Some people come to therapy for months, other for years. Those wishing to explore and unpick deeper underlying issues may require longer. It depends on the individual, but we can discuss this during our initial meeting. To determine this, it is important to consider the change you seek and how quickly you want to see those changes.

I suggest the following frequency options so you can make the right choice to suit your needs.
Solid Progress

Weekly
Moderate Support
Maintenance and reinforce skills learnt.
Fortnightly

Monthly
Check-in
As required when under stress or change in circumstance.
As needed
Endings
If during the therapy process, you decide that you do not wish to continue, it is often useful to have a phased ending over several weeks to consolidate the work and bring closure to the therapeutic relationship. The amount of time you want for this depends on your preference. As a minimum, I would require one week’s notice when you are ready to leave.
